Flower Motif / Japan Shawl

Hi, my dear readers ♥

It´s been ages since the last time I crocheted something ! There is so much to knit, that I just don´t have time for it... what a shame ! I like crochet so much =)

The last thing I made is a very popular Flower Motif Shawl also known as Japan Shawl - here´s the pattern on Ravelry. I discovered it thanks to Rooster Hill who got inspired by Vevka and it didn´t take long and Han did it too - the same pattern, from the same yarn in the same colours... and all totally beautiful =D ...so as soon as a Czech yarn shop Tvořivá Ovečka (crafty sheep aww) had sale on Drops yarns I bought them, too and started working on my own Japan Shawl =)

... but then I learned how to knit and started knitting and knitting and the shawl was waiting in my project box until spring. Then, when it was finally finished we went to take photos, but storm came and all of them were bad =D ...after spring, the super-hot summer arrived and I had absolutely no mood to take photos of a shawl. So I ended up taking photos of it one year later after I started it  <_< eh heh

Nevertheless, it was worth the while because we have the new camera now, so the photos are much better than ever ♥ (sorry for always talking about my new camera, but I just love it)

As always we took photos in the nearby park among the trees. I wore colourful autumn mori outfit again. I really want to put together more mori outfits with colours !

I got this beautiful necklace made of felted balls from Wel as Christmas gift last year ♥ It matches perfectly !

Appart from taking photos of me and my shawl I also snapped some pictures of Honza wearing his new infinity scarf. I hand-knitted it from "t-shirt yarn" - it´s a looong thread made of old t-shirts. We found it in 1euro shop for a really good price *_*

After the "photoshoot" we decided to take a walk around the town with Satan and found out there is a HUGE market with handmade things in Ingolstadt ! How could have I miss something like that ?!!

It´s only once in 3 years or 4 years ! WHY T_T

I need something like that every month =D

Not only there were tens of amazing shops, delicious food, but also a hula hoop tent where people could try, buy or learn how to hoop *___* heaven !

I bought there a fair-trade poncho from Nepal and a new pretty thing for my dreadlocks ♥

We also had the first hot mead of the year !

What a great autumn day !

...and now, back to knitting =D

Lately I´ve been busy with Christmas gifts, but at the same time I really want to start one of the 1000 projects from my Ravelry favourites x_x

Soon It Will Be Cold Enough To Build Fires

Hi, my dear readers ♥

At the end of summer was finally time to wear my crochet mandala vest again, so I combined it together with my DIY salwar pants and created this explorer´s outfit ! =D

I really like this vest, but it´s difficult to find the right time to wear it because it´s made of warm yarn, but it has no sleeves ha ha...but it looks great ! I need to wear it more often, I need to try to do some autumn layering with this piece *_*

This time I don´t have any good backstory to this outfit, besides the fact that this was probably the first outfit shooting on my balcony with the new camera and it´s visible SO MUCH, I love it ♥ On this day we went to take a look at a flat, but it was too small for us =D We´re still thinking about buying a flat, or a piece of land a build some simple modern house, or I don´t know... everything is so expensive here in Ingolstadt and we´re not sure if it´s worth it - because to be honest - there is not much to do in comparisson with Vienna or Nürnberg soooo... we don´t know =)

But I would love to have a house and garden ! It´s my dream to grow some veggies, herbs, get more dogs, have a place where to practice with hula hoop, reading in garden, watching stars in the summer... aaah *o*

Tassilo-Fest on Chiemsee

Hello, my dear readers ♥

The time of historical festivals and summer adventures is here ! I love it *o* so much to do, so much to see !

Our first adventure of this year was Tassilo Fest - historical market at the lakeside of beautiful Chiemsee. It was quite far away, but since I couldn´t go to lolita meet-up because of the damn striking trains we decided to go so we didn´t have to stay at home the whole weekend =)

Weather was beautiful and after one and half hour we arrived at the lakeside full of stalls with delicious food, beer, mead and all kinds of handmade things to buy. The band playing there was Furunkulus, which we already knew from Kaltenberg and were happy to hear them again....the only one who wasn´t happy to hear their mighty drums and huge gong was Satan >_< but after we moved a bit far away he enjoyed the music as well.....I´m sure about it =D

We arrived just in the right time for lunch and so the first thing we did was eating *o* I had an absolutely delicious grilled meat on a stick, half of grilled feta cheese and a small version of Flammkuchen with potatoes and cheese ...I´m hungry just when I think about it =D nom nom

I decided to wear my new crochet elven vest for the very first time, because I finally finished it a few days before ! "finally" is the perfect word in this case, because I started it a year ago, it took ages to crochet it and when I was almost at the end I run out of yarn and guess what...they didn´t have this shade of grey anymore >_< so I was waiting....and waiting......and after a year I asked the lady at the yarn shop why they didn´t restock it and she told me that this particular colour was discontinued and they have a darker one instead.........well, whatever ! I did the hood darker and added some rows at edges and it looks good anyway =) but most importantly IT´S FINISHED ! =D

This time we decided to spend all our money for food and drinks, so our loot consists only of a beautiful bracelet for me and absinth potion for Honza´s friend =)

It was such a great day !

If we have time next year we will come back for sure ♥

Crochet Bikini Top, Christmas Sweater and UNICEF scarf

Hi, my dear readers ♥

I finally took photos of all the crochet/knitting projects I finished in the past few months ! I have no idea why it took so long =D

The first one is really ancient, I remember finishing it after we got back from France in Summer...?!! The reason why I didn´t take any photos of it is that I was still hoping for some warm summer days at lake, with hula hoop and picnic ...

A few days ago I said to myself OK stop waiting, I will put this on, pretend it´s summer and finally take some photos ! ha ha... and found out that the crochet bikini top isn´t as perfect as I remember it... I don´t know what happened, but my nipples are peeking out when I wear it =D ha ha ...whatever ! I will wear it with tank top, it looks good as well.....or for sun bathing... or at home ! =D

I used crochet hook n.4 and some cute yarn I bought in Kaufland

I CAN´T WAIT FOR SUMMER

...and I really want something like this

( Anyone knows about a good pattern? I searched ravelry twice and never saw one I like =/ ... so I will probably try to make one myself, because I NEED IT *o*)

The second thing I want to show you was meant to be my masterpiece, but ended up being a BIG joke =D ...but a good one !

For years I´ve been planning to knit a sweater for my boyfriend as Christmas gift. First I didn´t know how to knit, then I didn´t have any good pattern. Last September I finally found a magazine full of knitting patterns for men *o* So great! I chose the one I liked the most, ordered 1000000m of yarn, new needles and slowly.....slooooowly....very slowly...knitted a sweater for my dear boyfriend...

BUT...apparantely I chose a yarn too thick and the sweater ended up looking more like a sleeping bag than an actual sweater.

It took me so much time and efford to knit the front and back part with all those cables, that even though I knew it´s going to be huge, I finished it =D

It´s so humongous that I couldn´t find a box for it !

I had to sit on it while packing and used 1000m of duck tape, but it was still looking like it will explode in a few seconds !

When I wear it, it ends at my knees and sleeves are double length of my arms !

ha ha ha =D

I used circular needles n.10 and yarn Istria from Vlnika, pattern from Verena Special - Strick Fashion for Men

The last thing I want to show you is pretty simple and unexpected project, but I really like it and wore it trough all cold winter days.

Some day before Christmas we went to Christmas market to have mulled wine and just as I was drinking my second cup I noticed that the UNICEF stand has yarns for sale ! That instantly cought my attention and after I found out that they are selling a paper bag with yarn, pattern and pair of needles to support kids in Syria, I was giving them my money and went back home with a new skein of yarn and feeling that I did something good =)

After all these never-ending cables I was in mood for something really simple - for knitting while watching fairy-tales and romantic Christmas movies.

So I did just a simple infinity scarf from garter stitch ♥

I don´t remember which size of needles I used, but the name of the yarn is Basics Capello from Lana Grossa

Back to knitting !

Since Christmas I´ve been working on an over-sized crimson sweater for me, I finished The Lonely Tree Shawl and Baktus for my friend *__*

A lot to post about !

...let´s keep fingers crossed that I will manage to finish this sweater when it´s still at least a bit cold and not at the beginning of June =D
